What is a shinigami?!

Question: You have probably heard it from the 3 most popular animes. The term Shinigami, usually dubbed as a God of Death, Death God, Spirit guide, or a Demon, have completely differant meanigs. Though, they usually are depcited as creatures who slaughter humans to keep balance in the world, or seen as people who take the souls to either heaven or hell.

Lol, to everyone above me, you guys need to turn i your weeaboo badges. Shinigami are not "anime creatures" or "Grim Reapers" they are something entirerly different. They do not recide in just the anime world, they have actually become a big thing in folklore today. Just as we have our ghostbusters, they have their shingigamibusters. They treat Shinigami as we treat Ghosts/souls with murdureous intent. Basically, they have the same nature of the fallen angel.
