Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Cowboy Bebop The Movie, Death Note, and Death Note: The Last Name are all great ones.
I'll try not to spoil these moves TOO much for you.
Howl's moving Castle is about a girl who was cursed and turned into an old lady. She's on a quest to break the curse, in the mean time she lives with Howl and forms a family with unique characters that move in the castle.
Spirited Away is about a girl who recently moved, she wanders off and finds herself in a "Spirit World" where her parents have been turned into pigs. She's on a quest to rescue them and go back to her home world. Along the way she gets a part time job and meets some interesting characters.
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time is about a girl who finds a magical item that allows her to pass through time. She uses the item to benefit herself in everyday life, get more allowance money by traveling back, eat more junk food, and other stuff. She then learns about the effects of changing the time line.
Death Note is about a guy named Light Yagami who finds a notebook and starts punishing criminals. He's on a quest to kill L and the investigation team.
Death Note: The last name is about Misa and Light trying to kill L, amoung other things, better than the first movie.

HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE!! It is so flippin good! haha it is another hayao miyazaki film. It is about a girl named Sophie who gets a spell cast over her and she meets the handsome wizard Howl, who is said to eat hearts of beautiful girls. What will happen? You can watch it here:
