The phrase in brackets in your name means 'I'm Kira'.
Kira in Japanese is 'Killer' which is, I guess, Raito's nickname, since nobody knows the true identitiy of Kira.

*You actually got the sentence formation wrong on that one. Its supposed to be 'Watashi wa Eru desu'.

EDIT 2: Actually, 'desu' does has no equivalent in English. It can make what you are saying more polite. But sometimes 'desu' may SEEM to act as 'is' in a sentence.

Well, it depends on what the watcher prefers. If he/she likes more action then they would like Naruto more. If he/she likes mystery and suspense definetely Death Note. But, overall, I think that Death Note is the more better anime. Storyline is incredibly well thought out and the first episode makes you hooked on the show. =D
