why? because it has to eventually. and when? well, some scientists are guessing as early as 2012. but i dont think it will be for a few centuries.. as long as we can stop wasting our environment and taking this earth for granted.
Well, eventually the sun will turn into a red giant, and unless by then, we find someway to keep extremely warm, We'll die. But if we do find a way, eventualy the red giant will explode into something (I forget the name of it?) maybe black-holish type thing, but that will suck us in and kill us. =]
