Yeah its really popular in Japan but see the problem with it in America is that most of the jokes that come in Shinchan is the way they pair something that is said with an action that is done so when they dub it its really hard to understand what going on because what they do on the show is funny but trying to make phrases and stuff to go along with it doesnt work out quite right. I know this cuz I grew up in Japan watching Shinchan then I moved to America and saw it on Adult Swim and its just not the same. But wats cool about the show is that Shinchan started out as a comic intended to adults, but it became so popular to even kids that it became a phenomenon. I would like to see it be in more success in the U.S.

that show got me in so much trouble. I let my little brother watch it ( age 7) cause I thought it was a cartoon for kids. Well after words in front of my parents he asked daddy where is your porn I feel a ***** coming up.
I LOVE IT!!! It's so hilarious!!! It's quite popular in my home country ^_^ but sadly not here where I live right now :(
Hopefully they won't remove it from t.v. though
