Saturday Mornings, weekday afternoon shows?....?!

Question: Obviously things have changed in the last 20 years, but does anybody remember waking up saturday mornings and watching old cartoon shows like "The Real Ghostbusters", "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", "Muppet Babies", "The New Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh", and others.

Anybody remember getting home from after school and watching "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show", "Tiny Toons", "Animaniacs". What about the Disney afternoon lineup with "Ducktales, Darkwing Duck", "Talespin", "The Gummie Bears", "Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers"?

What about waking up during the weekday mornings and seeing shows like "Sonic the Hedgehog", "Mighty Max", "X-Men", "Double Dare", and others?

What happened to the networks showing those kinds of shows during those time periods?

How right you are, things have changed. For me saturday mornings consisted of Mighty Orbots, Smurfs, Spider-man & his Amazing Friends, The Incredible Hulk, Thundar the Barbarian, The Superfriends, Challenge of the Superfriends.

After school it was He-Man & The Masters of the Universe, GI -Joe, The Tranformers, Marvel Superheroes.

Weekday mornings were Robotech, Battle of the Planets.

Your guess is as good as mine about why they don't show these kinds of shows anymore. I'm entertaining the idea of buying these shows on dvd... and re-living those times all over again...Hey, if you want something done right you have to do it yourself.

I remember "1 Saturday Morning" on ABC. and Animaniacs, the old Pokemon, Digimon, Histeria, and many other shows. I miss them, but I guess times change. D,:
