Answers: NO i actually read alot of books in barnes an noble and never even paid for them, just read them in a chair at the store.

ive often wondered that. but about reading books.

It shouldn't. Now, if you're there until it closes, you might need theropy, but they usually don't mind if you stay in and read. It helps their business.

Yes. If you want it, buy it.

Dunno .. I don't go there .. But I imagine not, cuz I hear the have a place to read n drink coffee n things ..

Yeppers...They are For Sale...
Not a Library...

I wouldn't think so, but if they wanted to they could probably find a reason.

i think if you stay too long reading any book they tell you to buy it or kick you out

Someone asked this question recently.......:

If you're not making any noise I don't see why you'd get thrown out. I see people in there all the time reading the mags.

if they did it would be really dumb

That...is a very good question, my friend. That is a NO. Trust me, I've read Naruto manga for 45 minutes and they haven't thrown me out.

I've had a lot of friends who've worked at B & N and they don't kick people out for reading. The employees just hate it when people take a bunch of books off the shelves and don't put them back, or put them some where else. I hate it when I want to buy a copy of something and they can't find it, or worst, the spine is all bent up.

they have couches for people to sit and read, so i'm guessing that they don't.

i doubt it... i do it all the time!!!

maybe, you shouldn't stay and read I do this when I go there bring ALOT of money like $100 or so. buy as many manga as you can. CAREFULLY READ THEM don't bend the spine and keep them in good condition & keep the recpeit. send them back before a week is up and get new ones say that they were the wrong books and there you go unlimited amount of book for only $100.

I have no idea what Manga is.

But I do not think so. I have spent several hours at a time with my ex-girlfriend and no one ever said anything.

Don't worry about it. If they kicked you out they would lose business.

I actually worked at Barnes and Noble a couple of years ago, and no you won't be thrown out unless you're disrupting the peace or getting food on the books or it's closing time or something like that. We'd have people who'd come in everyday, get a stack of books out, and stay almost all day. We'd whisper to each other about it, but no one's thrown out. We'd even come across books that people had highlighted in- there are a lot of people who use it like a library, unfortunately. But, if you are just hanging out and quietly reading, you can stay for as long as you like, and take out as many magazines/books as you like (also, people would leave a stack of material and just got up and left- so rude). We always appreciated the respectful people.
