anything, ANYTHING that hollywood takes out of a niche market (like Anime, video games, SF novels, etc.) will be twisted into something that the studio thinks will have wider appeal, resulting in something that original fans don't like because of the differences, and non-fans just aren't interested in.

Based on the first round of publicity photographs of actors in costumes, it looks like the Dragonball live action movie may be unintentionally hilarious. I don't intend to see the film when it is released but I may rent a DVD copy eventually, depending on how bad the movie's reputation is by then.
As much as I would like for DBZ to be a hit I am afraid it wont be. I am a fan of DBZ but for all that anime action to be put in live action, I dont think it would look as great. I mean it would be hilarious to see SSJ3 in live action or maybe even Final Flash. I would love to see how that turns out.
Well i would say it will be nice for them to make it, i would love to see how they do the special effects and the hair.lol. But the movie has been in production for more than 7 years and just lately they havemove the movie release once again, it now will be released next year, so it starts to make me think that it might not even be released.

I reckon that it wont be as successful as the animated series and not even the special effects will bring the same atmosphere as the anime series brought
