do you know why light made ryuk and rem exchange notebook?
it is because when light finds the notebook that higuchi has and kills him, light will be followed by rem, and when misa finds the other notebook, she'll be with ryuk, light new that misa may have forgot Ryuuzaki's name and she'll want to trade for the shinigami eyes to see L's real name, rem will not do the deal with misa again but ryuk will. that is the reason
