Shun is the one with long pink hair that looks like a girl. He is Kazuya's(main character) roommate. Kazuya missed the first like month of school due to bad luck(car accident, ulcer, etc.) The dorm residents play a prank on Kazuya and tell him Shun is a girl. Shun plays along. They make a bet on how long it takes Kazuya to catch on that Shun is actually a guy.

no, its Yu Yu Hakusho. the main character is a delinquent in school who is hit by a car while saving a kid from being run over. He dies, but eventually comes back to life and becomes a "Spirit Detective". The pink haired boy is Karama, a fox demon in the appearance of a human who Yusuke (main character) befriends and who also becomes a Spirit Detective. its a fighting anime
