I don't think she's 26 in the manga when she dies, probably a bit younger, like 23 (given she was probably only 18 at the most when the met Light and the two were involved for about 5 1/2 years). The manga doesn't specifically show her die, she is shown in a group (or sect) of Kira lovers and she prays on a cliff. It's hinted she might kill herself but they don't actually show her doing it.

She has no memories of the death note or Light being Kira, she only knows Light died of a heart attack.
