So..What happened to Kouga (InuYasha)?!

Question: Well, I just finished watching InuYasha,but I've been wondering-where was Kouga during this time? I kind of miss him , and I was wondering if he was going to come up in th movies.Or have we seen the last of him...Please could someone tell me if he will tun p-so I can look forward to it> :) Thnx.

I stopped reading around chapter 300, but he does come back after the ending of InuYasha anime.
