I noticed how fast paced it was as well, but I like that because that means they won't dwell too long on unnecessary storyline and really get to the heart of Vampire Knight during its 26 (24?) episode run. I can't wait for the next episode either. Everyone's voices were superb and the animation was top notch as well. I also LOVED the funny moments. So cute.
The voices were really good ^^ (I love Tamaki's from Ouran's voice ^^)
Um... I kinda felt that they were rushing things WAY too quicky.... like... when Zero dropped his blood tablets.... that did not happen so suddenly in the manga... I was like... "WHAT?! So soon?! O.o? OMG.." lol!

But I know... cause its gonna be a short anime =p
Aside from that, I thought it was really good!!

Ummm.... I loved the theme songs! Especially the ending theme! It was sooo pretty!! I really cant wait for the next ep!! ^^
I think they did very well on the anime. I love Kaname and zero's voice. Yuki's was unique but cool. It followed the manga pretty good too!
