totally agreed. we had some of the best cartoons when we were growing up. looney toons, anamaniacs, tom and jerry.
exactly!! Nothing is like the Smurfs, He-Man, GI Joe, Gummi Bears, Thundercats, Scooby Doo.... the list could go on and on

yes, especially disney cartoon movies!!!!! but one of my friends thinks it's because we are older now, and don't view it the same way as we used to, but i don't know, i still think the past stuff was better!

I agree that the cartoons today aren't the same as they were.
Anime has had alot of infulence and the ole hana-babbara shows had alot of influence on a few shows.
Of course in my day, that could be said of the stories of the live shows too. There was a move away from seasoned writers in favor of younger writers.
What it really comes down to is what the writers are coming up today and their sense of story.
