Late 90's YTV anime show???!


Question: Late 90's YTV anime show!?!?!?
Anyone remember a YTV anime show, from the late 90's, about a boy who rents a video game, gets trapped in it, with monsters!. Basically, he travels around the video game world, meeting new friends and having new adventures!. Kinda pokemon esque, but the monsters walk freely with the kid!. Any ideas!?!?Www@Enter-QA@Com
