DC has Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Flash, Justice League, While Marvel Has Spider Man, Hulk, Cpt!. America & The X-Men!. So overall who has the better characters, comics, Movies etc!. and why!? It's kind of hard to pick but i'll go with Marvel what about you!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Definitely!. Marvel!
Movies: Marvel has one of the best known movies like Daredevil, the 2 trilogies; X men and Spider man!. The upcoming incredible hulk movie and the Iron man movie!.
All DC has to offer is Super man or Batman or Justice league!
The dark knight movie seems to be good but I think that Iron man and the incredible hulk movies will thrash them!
Plus marvel has its 2009 movies;X-men origins and the Thor movie!.

Characters: Marvel;s characters have more believable powers!. DC has an alien who has superhuman strength and martial artist who wears a bat shaped mask and only fight at night!.Other characters like flash , Aqua man and green lantern are so unpopular!

Villains: marvel, AGAIN!!

They both have some of the coolest characters but I have to agree with you!. Marvel rocks, so does Spiderman and the X-Men!!Www@Enter-QA@Com

Powerful most likely goes to DC, just because of the overpoweredness of them!.
More believeable, Marvel!.
Better Movies!.!.!.currently I'll say Marvel because DareDevil was much better than Superman Returns, but the Dark Knight might beat it, I don't know!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Both!. I'm not at all happy with Marvel or its corporate profile right now -- until Jim Shooter came along they hired slightly younger people and did a little bit less to force them to be professional so you had madmen like Barry Smith Frank Miller and Frank Brunner -- who were preceded by, like Kirby, Ditko, Wood and Marie Severin whose brother John actually did some jobs for both companies as late as the Seventies!. With Jose Quesada as AD everything REALLY has to look professional and frankly it's dull!. also the concentration on the X-Men and Spiderman franchises really hasn't helped them either!. I never considered myself a Frank Miller fan!. I was DEFINITELY never a Todd McFarlane fan but I'm coming to appreciate Venom and the other elements of his run more now!.

DC is not exactly better but its line is more adventurous right now without more than the occasional outburst (like Hawkman) which Marvel would never CONSIDER!. Those are all very strong characters, though!. Even if I was unhappy when they made Hal Jordan the Specter!. At least the incumbant is a strong character as well, and in some ways a better read!.

They are very strong characters on both sides, though!. I was a fan of the original X-Men and of the Claremont Cockrum and Claremont Byrne runs of the revival!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm going to pick DC with the clear understanding that the question includes characters from the golden age of comic books, and also includes a number of characters from the defunct Fawcett, Quality, and Charlton comics who DC managed to acquire the right to and has used intermittently!. I love the original Justice Society of America, the Sever Soldiers of Victory, the Blackhawks, Plastic Man, Doll Man, the Marvel Family, and characters like Uncle Sam, Starman, Manhunter (both DC and Quality versions), Dr!. Occult, Shining Knight, Green Arrow and Speedy, Vigilante, Human Bomb, Black Condor, the original Atom, Aquaman, Robotman, The Ray, Alias the Spider, Star Spangled Kid and Stripesy, Dr!. Mid-Nite, Phantom Lady, 711, Red Bee, Joe Hercules, Stormy Foster, Scarlet Avenger, Bulletman and Bulletgirl, Ibis, Mr!. Scarlet and Pinky, Dr!. Fate, the Spectre, Sandman, Wildcat, Johnny Quick, Liberty Belle, Mr!. Terrific, Ghost Patrol, Hawkman, Tarantula, Red Torpedo, and others!.

Marvel Comics also has some very good characters (and a few terrible ones) and their silver age characters are often better thought out and more entertaining than many of DCs silver age characters, but other than Captain America, The Human Torch and Toro, the Sub-Mariner, and one or two other exceptions, the Marvel/Atlas/Timely characters from the golden age were not nearly as rich as DC's golden age characters, and the golden age characters DC acquired!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The problem with Marvel is that unlike a steady buildup that DC has, they have a tendency to run their characters into the ground after they finish their story!. Look what they did to Spiderman for crying out loud!. First they put him in a metal suit, reveal his identity, then a black suit (to promote a lame movie), then back into his original, and retcon 30 years of story (almost)!. also, they can't always have Bendis writing everything!. We may as well call it Bendis Comics instead of Marvel!. also they will put out anything to make a buck!. Not as bad as in the 90's but still pretty bad!. Nothing will be as good or as original as the original, and DC proves over and again that a character that came about in the 1940's has more chance of survival than one made in the 60's!. One last little rant: Did you ever notice that Marvel characters all got their powers from some freak accident!? Was there one main series where a character was born with powers (xmen claims that nuclear or celestial power created the seed for the dna mutation), or a character that had to face adversity with no power but his wits!? Spiderman, FF, Doctor Strange, Captain A, Hulk, Iron Man, Wolverine, if not for some accidental process we wouldn't have them!. Thanks atomic age!Www@Enter-QA@Com
