1) CardCaptor Sakura [70 episodes]
-- My favorite magical girl anime!. It has everything I was looking for, action, romance and comedy! I honestly loved this anime!.
2) Death Note [37 episodes]
-- The uniqueness of this anime caught my interest right away!. The plot was so intricate and exceptional, I loved viewing through the mind of genius'!.
3) Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann [27 episodes]
-- My favorite mecha anime! It was so awesome, I was never a fan of mecha but this anime totally changed that! I loved the plot and the character development :)
4) Naruto [220 episodes + Shippuden]
-- An amazing and hilarious anime!. I really love this anime --> Naruto was the one that really got me hooked onto anime, after this I started expanding!. Plus the whole ninja idea is superb!.
5) Ouran High School Host Club [26 episodes]!.
-- One of the funniest and cutest animes I have watched!. All the characters were unique and once again, everything flowed smoothly and was hilarious :)
6) Mushishi [26 episodes]
-- Little to no action, however the sheer brillance had me hooked!. A very simplistic plot that was amazing!. This anime was so serene to watch, yet it drew me in vigoursly!.
7) Elfen Lied [13 episodes]
-- I loved the horror and romance mix in this anime!. Elfen Lied was really beautiful and I liked how in the end everything flowed together!.
8) ef - a tale of memories [12 episodes]
-- Another beautiful anime!. It was so sad and made you want to stop watching at times, however in a way there was always happiness!. Amazing series!.

Wow you promised 10 points!. Well, I don't really answer not-so-specific questions since the chance of getting 10 points there is hard!. Especially your question, you didn't specify the type of anie you like (comedy, action, drama, thriller, etc!?)!.
But I'll still give a shot!. I'll say my most favorite anime series of all 50+ anime series I watched!. And take note: Naruto, Bleach and Death Note (the 3 most discussed series here in Answers), are ranked below this anime I'll tell you!.
It's School Rumble!. It's the most hilarious series I watched!. The comic lines are easy to pick and are random!. I literally laughed loud for all of the episodes!. You'll get hooked watching all the episodes in one day (2 seasons+ova = 54 ep = 18 hours)!.
I picked a comedy anime because I feel no human doesn't like comedy!. I'm not really sure the type of anime you're into but I'm sure you don't hate the comedy types!. School Rumble is also a high school romance anime type!. It's not so ecchi and has some serious-mood scenes too!.

Wolf's Rain- The best one the list!. I was hooked from the moment I saw the first episode!. It's a brilliant anime that has a little something for everyone to enjoy!. It has elements of action, fantasy, romance, etc!. You name it, this show has it!.
Trigun- This one comes in close second to Wolf's Rain!. This one is a very actiony anime!. Anyone who loves guns is bound to adore this show!. This is a work of sheer genius that had me addicted from the start!.
Naruto & Naruto Shippuden- This one is tied with Trigun in second on my list!. Masashi Kishimoto is a genius to have come up with this!. It's also a very actiony show, but it's not all just mindless violence!. In this anime, Kishimoto brilliantly weaves together the life stories of several characters and follows each of the as they strive to achieve their goals!.
Furi Kuri/Fooly Cooly/FLCL- This one is super short!. It's only about six episodes!. It's also extremely random, and it might take you a few episodes to truly understand what is going on!. Sheer determination to understand what is happening kept me watching this!. Once I actually understood it, I found it to be almost addicting!.
Fruits Basket- This one isn't so actiony as the rest, but there is no dount that Natsuki Takaya is a genius!. The story opens with our main character, Tohru Honda, living in a tent out in the woods while her grandfather's house is being remodeled!. As she explores the area around her temporary home, she stumbles across the home of her classmate Yuki Sohma (known as Prince Yuki to the other girls in the school!.) After finding out she is staying in a tent, Yuki offers her a place in his home!. She soon learns that the Sohma family is under a terrible curse!. I'm not very good at summerizing, so I'm super sorry if it sounds sucky!. It's well worth the watch, and even more worth the read (read the manga!. It's much better than the show!.)
Inuyasha- This is yet another anime that I absolutely adore, and, much like Wolf's Rain, it has a little something for everyone!.
Yu Yu Hakusho- This is one of the animes I grew up watching!. It's fairly actiony as well (notice the pattern here!. ^_^)Www@Enter-QA@Com
