I really wanna know what's so great about Yuri and Yaoi, it's been bugging me for the past few days!.

Personally, I am not much of a yuri and yaoi fan, but I have friends who are really into them so I can tell you about what they think!. Basically, a lot of girls started to like yaoi (guyXguy) because they lost faith in anime pairings!. This is because 99% of the main girl characters have these annoying personalities, but still ends up with the main guy character anyway (because it's expected)!. So most girls are tired of the cliche pairings, therefore they started to think other side characters are more deserving of being with the main male protagonist!. It doesn't help that a lot of male anime characters can pass for girls!.!.!.and that the fan girls think that it's really hot when two guys get together!.
As for yuri, it's mostly for guys!. I think the reason why is because it's pretty much like watching porn, and the girl pairings are always the two most popular girls in a certain anime series!. Guys like yuri because there's no guy in the relationship, and the guy fans personally likes the girl characters themselves so they don't like it when some male anime characters can get together with the girls (even if it's not real!.!.!.)!.
Another thing about yaoi and yuri pairings is that the characters that get paired up usually have what we call more 'chemistry' with each other!. This is why, for example, Sasuke and Naruto are a popular pairing because, let's face it, they have more moments with each other than they have with any other girl characters in the series!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well it's just an opinion!. Some people like yuri/yaoi and some people don't, and I think it's okay!. No opinion is wrong!.

The more they watch, the more they get used to it and the more they like it!. Some girls dislike yaoi at the first place, but when they start watching it, they start getting used to it!.

I guess its that Guys think Yuri is hot and girls think Yaoi is hot!. Plus it's out of the ordinary, and sort of romantic if people are willing to go as far as to like the same gender because they love someone!. (Not that it doesn't happen in real life)
