I think you should watch it because -
=> It has a really great story, very Miyazaki like ^_^
=> Though it may seem childish at first, it deals with some mature issues later on => Loss, friendship, etc!.
=> It keeps getting better and better and better and :P
=> It also has one of the best endings I've seen in anime
=> Most importantly, it really needs more fans ^_^
