However, the proprietor generally TOLERATE these websites because these websites somehow allow the manga to be known among English-speaking countries!. Actually, experts often measure the popularity of the manga by measuring how many times it is being downloaded "illegally" from these websites!. Just consider many new manga series these days which are not yet released outside Japan, if it's not for these websites (which are NON-PROFIT), there'll be no way of knowing how popular these manga will become outside Japan!. Onemanga, Mangafox and a lot of scanlation sites are tolerated by the makers because they actually contribute to profits! Sometimes they're asked to close off some material though!. Check onemanga!.com 's Alice Academy page for an example! Hope its back soon though!
