Think about it!. kids keeping animals in a ball & only let them out to fight other Pokemon!? Isn't that animal abuse & a version of Chicken fighting!? Yeah i know it's a cartoon but when u think about it it does look like a form of animal abuse!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

No!. Pokemon enjoy battling each other, particularly if they have a good relationship with their trainers and they're good friends, like Ash and Pikachu, and each battle helps their bond grow stronger!.
However, there are some cases when battling Pokemon is cruel, like in the first movie when Mewtwo's clones and the trainers pokemon were willing to fight to the finish, or like in Pokemon 2000 when that guy wanted the three legendary pokemon, Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos and Lugia as collectibles and he had them in those prison balls!. That's pokemon cruelty too!.
But on the most part, no!. And Pokemon is a fantasy, they reduce to a small size when they're in their balls, and some pokemon probably feel safer in their balls!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yeah and who says they want to fight, they just have to because their owners make them!. It's especially deplorable when you consider that the pokemon are basically intelligent beings and can hold conversations and form communities!. It's basically as bad as enslaving a small child in a ball then making it fight for your own personal gain whenever you see fit!. Of course since it's a fictional world the author probably just didn't consider that or didn't care and was feeling creative!. The premise makes for an interesting story anyway!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
