At the end of World War II, Sergeant Fury was injured by a land mine!. He was healed by a man named Berthold Sternberg who also used him as a test subject for his "Infinity Formula" which significantly slowed his aging!.

marvel comics has what is sometimes referred to as a 'floating timeline', meaning, marvel time is very different from our time!. that's why spider-man has been around since 1962 (our time), but in the comics, he's still in his mid to late 20's, instead of his 60's!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
