Question: Saiyuki & Saiyuki reload!?!?!?
What is saiyuki reload!? And how is it different from the regular saiuki manga!?

Saiyuki follows the Saiyuki manga series pretty well (except the Kami Sama arc)!. There are a LOT of filler episodes and also characters that were never in the manga (i!.e!. Homura!.!.!.he was only a drawing in Kazuya Minekura's Busgammer book)!. The Saiyuki series also follows volumes 1 and 2 of the Saiyuki Gaiden manga (it is pretty faithful to the manga)!.
Reload is NOT a filler season (although there are a couple of "filler episodes in the season)!. There are episodes from the Saiyuki manga ("Kami Sama" arc) and also from the Saiyuki Reload manga (mostly from volume 1)!.
The anime episodes do follow the manga pretty well!. In some episodes of Reload, the anime combined parts of the Saiyuki and the Reload mangas into one (i!.e!. episodes 14 & 15)!. also episode 13 added a side filler story!.
Personally, you can watch the anime first and then read the manga!. It's what you prefer!. I personally watched the anime series and then got into the manga (which I prefer actually)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Reload is pretty much filler!. After watching it, it does follow the first parts of the manga nearly exactly, right up until the end!. Then it gets interesting!. Pretty disappointing, really, if you read the manga first and jump into the anime- it's like deja vu in color!. The omakes (extras) at the end of each episode are worth watching, though!. Hilarious!.
