It's not a live action movie!. Warner Brothers announced back in June 2007 that they are going to make a CGI movie!. Jerry O'Flaherty has been signed to direct it (he did the video game Gears of War)!. The expected release date as of right now is Summer 2010!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I've heard the same rumors for the past several months (the first being around the time of the Transformers movie), so I did a little searching on Yahoo!. There's a LOT of rumors on the internet, so you have to take each of these with a grain of salt!.
Now, I loved the series when I was growing up and would be not only suspect, but nervous about a movie being made about it (especially with the references listed by the other asker)!.!.!.!. but it could also be done like Transformers, Iron Man, X-Men (the first one), the newer Hulk (what it's looking like it'll be, at least), etc!. If these rumors are true, hopefully it'll be done by fans of the show like these examples were!.

[Edit]: As to what the second answerer posted, the YouTube clip is either a fan-based movie or an attempt that was made in the 80s that I've heard of that never got completed!.!.!. either way, that's not a "real" clip for a new movie!.!.!.!. THANKFULLY!. Even though it was all in Spanish, I could understand enough on that video to know it would have been horrible if that was real!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
