Eh!.!.!.I just finished watching one!.!.recommended by Tri ^_^ Sealed Sword Frenzy! Yay!!.!.!.No I don't like the ending theme coz!.!.never mind!.!.anyway!.!.!.what's an OVA, explain!.!.!.and please don't link me to Wikipedia or something!.!.!.even if I read about it, I don't get it TEE HEE

1!. an ova ( stands 4 something weird that i just can't remeber right now)is just an episode that really dosen't have anything 2 do w/the series, it's a little longer than a normal episode but not qutie as long as an actual movie, ova's r just thrown in just 4 fun or 2 serve as a transtion from 1 season 2 the next, they ran out of episodes 2 run while waiting 4 new 1s, or something 2 that affect, just think of them as being 1 big long filler epsidoe w/ about 3/4 of the quaility of the normal episodes ( have u have seen the animation in some fillers, they were abosolutley horrifing @ times), u rly shouldn't worry about it, its okay if u don't watch them, its not like its going 2 be part up again some time further in the series

it's the story after the anime
sometimes it's not filler and sometimes it is!.!.!. I don't fully get it but I'll tell you what I think!.!.
some OVAs have only one episode and 45 min long!.!.!.!. and some are more than 10 episodes(normal anime episodes) like the Hunter x Hunter OVAs
so you can consider those 45 min long as extras or specials like the school rumble and detective conan ones!
like if the anime ends, the OVA might help to continue the story like the prince of tennis and hunter x hunter ones!

It's like a direct to video movie, it helps to show what happens to characters after a show ends and whatnot!. Or it can be a pilot used to test if people like a show or not!.

I think its anime extras, its only my guess tho, don't kill me if I am wrong, or something that the maker makes for extra laughs!. LOL

well i dont get exactly it is either but its kinda of like a special of an Anime like on tv that is made!. tehy are sort of like movies but shorter to the length of normal episodes!. they can be counted as a filler in that regard!. well thats what i think an OVA from watching some of them ^^!.

I think the ova is the original and main episodes that the anime episodes center around!.!.!.!.!.!?!? It is complicated!. Sometimes ova's can also be what happens after the anime and before the anime takes place, for example in Rurouni Kenshin!. the 1st 4 ova episodes are Kenshin's life in the past and the last 2, are his life in the futrure!. ova does stand for original video animation though!. They can be just fillers sometimes!.!.!. and either way they dont have to be watched to understand the anime!. but if they are directly connected to the anime not just filler (did not know how to put it in words) then they are sometimes good to watch!.
