Answers:
When the Earl told Allen that he looks like "the White Clown that chases after Auguste", he is comparing his relationship with Allen to that of the Whiteface Clown and the Auguste Clown where in this particular case, the Earl sees himself as the foolish Auguste and Allen as the serious Whiteface!.

Here's a description of both clowns:

Whiteface:

"The white-face clown embodies many of the higher attributes of the human being!. He is clever, doing all sorts of things like juggling, magic, mime, dancing, singing, and pulls all sorts of tricks on the other clowns!. To show his superior status, Joey wears a costume that is basically white with trim!. He is always immaculate in dress and in habit, never showing his own skin on his hands or neck (a lazy white-face clown who shows skin is called a "Dirty-Neck Clown" to this day)!. His function in the clown routine is to knock down authority (usually the announcer) and to pick on the other clowns!."

Auguste:

"The Auguste personifies many of the lower attributes of the human spirit!. He is slovenly, stupid, arrogant, boastful, cowardly, selfish, miserly--you get the point!. His favorite way to spend time is to make a mountain out of a mole hill!. When he becomes the butt of a prank pulled on him by the Joey, he becomes angry, but due to his stupidity, is soon persuaded to get even and pull the same prank on a third party!. Of course he cannot get things straight, and oftentimes ends up having the same stunt pulled on him again and again, often by his own devices!. He is the ultimate fall guy, taking the kick in the seat and the pie in the face!. He is constantly bullied about by the Joey, often getting slapped or kicked!. Due to the intrinsic pecking order in the clown hierarchy, he cannot slap the Joey back!. He needs to find a third party to vent his spleen on!."

Between the two clowns, their duo relies on the Manipulator/Victim or Leader/Follower relationship!. Ironically, the Earl refers to Allen as the smart, bossy, and manipulative Whiteface, and to himself as the often-victimized Auguste!. While this might be due to the fact that Allen's innocence's new form really looks like the serious Whiteface Clown's costume and makeup, it could also be because Whiteface clowns are always going after the Auguste Clown - pretty much what Allen is doing in chasing after the Earl!. The only difference is that while the Whiteface often does this to incur mischief and irritate the Auguste, Allen is doing so believing it is for the good of everyone!.

As for Allen's new Crown Clown, Baboonery might be a typo or mistranslation!. I believe this is supposed to be "buffoonery", which means clowning or joking - a reference to the Earl and Allen's clown-type relationship!. It is meant to be serious since in this relationship, "the two clowns, who for whatever reason are competing for survival, desperately rely on each other; without each other, they live a meaningless, and perhaps even more perilous adventure!." So perhaps it is foreshadowing Allen and the Earl's intertwined future!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
