X (the TV series) basically explains what happened in X 1999 (the movie) in more detail and greater depth!. X, the TV series, introduces all the main characters who were involved in the battle between the Dragons of Heaven and the Dragons of Earth one by one!. Meet Spike and Jet, a drifter and a retired cyborg cop who have started a bounty hunting partnership!. In the converted ship The Bebop, Spike and Jet search the galaxy for criminals with bounties on their heads!. They meet a lot of interesting characters, including the unusually intelligent dog Ein, the bizarre hacker child prodigy Ed, and the voluptuous and vexing femme fatale, Faye Valentine!.

The wolf Tsume (Claw), hiding his true form, lives as a human!. Hanging out in the city, and leading a band of young delinquents, he lives by stealing food from aristocrats!. One day, another wolf, Kiba (Fang), appears before him, causing his wild blood to boil!. Kiba cannot forgive Tsume for allying himself with humans, and the two have a duel, putting their pride on the line!. However, the battle is interrupted, and Kiba is shot by the tenacious wolf hunter, Quent, and held captive in the police station run by the aristocrats!.!.!.
Yami No Matsuei (Seems a little yaoi-like but still good anime)
The Shinigami are the gods of death, the beings who guide the souls who have been recorded into the Register of Souls to Hades the world of the dead!. They are the employees of the Summons Division, which is an office directly under the control of Enma, the Emperor of the Underworld!. The series focuses on one of these Shinigami named Asato Tsuzuki the most powerful, but loveable, laid-back and troubled of them all!. Many stories chronicle the mysterious cases they are called upon to deal with, when souls who have appeared on the Register have for some reason not yet died and are often serious and sad!. Other stories deal with their off-time play, and these are sweet and funny!. A strong focus of the story are the characters themselves and their feelings about work, and about each other!.

No one really knows what the 60 billion dollar-wanted-man named Vash really looks like, only what damage he has been fabled to have caused!. Due to over 300 insurance claims filed by the inhabitants of the cities Vash the Stampede has supposedly demolished, the FIA has sent two claims inspectors - Meryl Stryfe & Milly Thompson - to find Vash and investigate / fine him for all the damage he has caused!. Now Vash must not only deal with merciless bounty hunters, but hounding insurance companies too in a setting very reminiscent of such American westerns as Bonanza or Gunsmoke!.
Rurouni Kenshin
Ten years after the start of the Meiji Era, a Rurouni wanders into Tokyo to find a new life with new friends!. Vowing never to kill, he tries to escape his past as the Hitokiri Battousai, the greatest killer of the Bakumatsu!.
However, an old menace, in the form of Shishio Makoto, the successor to the Hitokiri Battousai, threatens the peace of the new Meiji Era!. Shishio and his Juppon Gatana are ready to start a new revolution to correct the evils of Western influence!.

Kagome leads a fairly normal life, in spite of her weird family!. Her house is a thousand-year-old Japanese temple, and her grandfather talks about the history of the house endlessly!. Legend has it that the old well on the temple grounds keeps a vicious ancient monster at bay; Kagome never believed those legends, until now!. The well opens up and sucked Kagome inside - transporting her to an ancient time of enchanted forests and giant demons!.
Kagome is soon confronted by her odd resemblance to Kikuyo, the girl who controlled the magical Shikon no Tama talisman and imprisoned the legendary half-demon Inu-Yasha!. Upon entering this fantasy world, Kagome is attacked by a demon hunting the Shikon no Tama; she unwittingly releases Inu-Yasha from his imprisonment, only to find that he's no hero!.
Fullmetal Alchemist
In this world, there exists people with special abilities to manipulate objects and transform one object into another!. These people are known as alchemists!. This process does come with a cost though, the basic law of alchemy states that to gain something you have to sacrifice something of the same value!.
The main character is the famous alchemist Edward Elric - also known as the Fullmetal Alchemist - who almost lost his little brother, Alphonse, in an accident!. Edward managed to contain his brother's soul in a large suit of armor!. While he did manage to save his brother's life, he had to pay a great price himself!.
To get back what they've lost, the brothers embark on a journey to find the Philosophers Stone that is said to amplify the powers of an alchemist enormously!.
Samurai Champloo (One of my favorite's!!!! Not a good storyline but great action)
Fuu, a 15 year-old girl, was working part-time job at teahouse!. One day, she met Muegn and Jin!. They fought violently, but finally they were arrested and about to be executed!. In return for helping them, Fuu asked them to make a promise that they would make a journey with her in order to look for a "Samurai with a scent of sun flower"!.!.

This is one of my favorites!. It contains lots of action and adventure as well as comedy thrown in here and there!.

Not a ronin but a rurouni, he was never a samurai, but an assassin of utmost skill in the Meiji restoration, who in the turning point of the war simply walked away!. The last one I suggest is, One Piece!. This anime rocks!! I like it better than Rurouni Kenshin!. It's a hilarious anime that is filled with unique plots and twists!. It has fighting as well as comedy!.
