Is there a way to find out exactly what date an anime episode will be subbed?!

Question: Is there a way to find out exactly what date an anime episode will be subbed!?
I know that some subbing websites will put out the latest episode as soon as its made, but can you figure what date it will be out so you can have a date to look forward to!? if anyone knows of a place, I wanted to know when the episodes of Special A are to subbed!. This would be a big help!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

There's no way to find out for sure exactly how many days since things happen, fansubbers have lives, sometimes releases just get delayed, but you can kind of get a rough estimate when subs'll be out!. It's what I do anyways!.

First, find out which groups are subbing the anime (which includes Special A)!. There's a few ways to do this!.

---

One way is to check AnimeSuki (or Baka-updates or Tokyo Tosho works too, as long as the site has the date the group released the episodes)!. I'll use AnimeSuki for this example:
http://animesuki!.sandwich!.net/

Find the series you're looking for, you can do this by searching in the upper right!. I'll use S!.A!. for this example!. AnimeSuki's page for Special A:
http://animesuki!.sandwich!.net/series!.php!.!.!.

Look at the groups and the release dates!. As you can see BakaWolf & m!.3!.3!.w has released the most episodes so far!. Compare the dates of BakaWolf & m!.3!.3!.w releases to the date the episode aired (you can find that out by going to ANN [AnimeNewsNetwork], the link to the anime's ANN page if it's in the ANN db is near the top, next to "More info:"!.)

Once you're at the anime's ANN page, scroll down and click on "Episode titles: We have (number here)"!. Which'll get you here:
http://www!.animenewsnetwork!.com/encyclop!.!.!.

---

Another way is AniDB:
http://anidb!.net/perl-bin/animedb!.pl!?sho!.!.!.

Go to the anime page on AniDB (search for it in the upper right corner), for this example I'll use Special A!. Special A AniDB page:
http://anidb!.net/perl-bin/animedb!.pl!?sho!.!.!.
^ Once you're there, scroll down to "Group status"!. If it's a series where there's a lot of groups subbing, you might want to click on "show all" (under "Action")!. also make sure you're looking at the English fansub groups, hover your cursor over the flags, the first flag is the Japanese flag, for the audio language!. The second flag should be what the sub language is!.

Now click on "State" of the group(s) if it's "ongoing"!. Then you see a list of files that group has released for the anime, here's an example (BakaWolf & m!.3!.3!.w's releases for Special A so far):
http://anidb!.net/perl-bin/animedb!.pl!?sho!.!.!.
^ Look at the date each episode was released and compare that to the date it aired!.

Another way is to find out which groups are subbing, then check their sites often!. Some groups give updates if they're expecting a delay, m!.3!.3!.w does a pretty good job of keeping those watching their subs updated!. There's usually an update every 1-3 days, counting posts about releases!.

Or you could go to the group's IRC channel and ask, but some groups don't like it when you do!. It's out when it's out and asking doesn't really help much, since there's probably people that asked before you and constantly being asked would get kind of annoying!.

---

BakaWolf & m!.3!.3!.w has a pretty good release speed!. If anything is delayed, usually there's updates on m!.3!.3!.w's site about it, if the typesetter has exams (http://m33w-fansubs!.com/!?p=183 ) or if the translation checker has finals (http://m33w-fansubs!.com/!?p=187 ) or if the capper the group used got arrested (http://m33w-fansubs!.com/!?p=172 ) m!.3!.3!.w updates about it!. Usually BakaWolf & m!.3!.3!.w releases subs a few days after an episode's out!.

That was a bit long, so if I confused you add more details and I'll try to see if I can explain it better!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Fansubers aren't professionals!. They are just doing it as a hobby!. Because of this, there isn't really a schedule that you can look at for when a fansub will come out!. They just do it when they have time!.

Sometimes it will come out 1 day later, sometimes 5, and sometimes much, much later!. It also really depends on the group!. Even groups that consistently get a 1 day later release often take longer!. And looking at Baka-Wolf, the group which appears to be subbing Special A, it takes them around 2-6 days to sub!. It just depends on when they have people available, how easy the translation is, and if they run into any problems!. Even THEY wouldn't be able to tell you when the next episode will be released until they are pretty much done with it already!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

go to the site that subs and see if it is coming up other than that no but usally when it comes out in japan it is usally subbed by the same day or the very nextWww@Enter-QA@Com
