Manga is a type of comic book that is read in Japan, and is shipped over here to the U!. S!. They're read from right to left, even most of the English translations!. They try to keep the comics in their origional format because if they flipped the books to where they read from left to right, then some words are put backwards by accident!. Example: If the word food was used, then it could very possibly end up being doof!. Anime is simply japenese animation!. It was created because when films were first being made, the japenese movie buisness was very restricted (not enough western-looking actors, shooting locations were limited, that sort of thing), so they looked to animation, since they could draw all the locations and do whatever they wanted with it!. They started using animation to make feature length films, and it grew over time!. Now, anime is still used to make feature length films in japan for all kinds of genres such as sci fi, fantasy, and horror!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Manga is usually made first!. You can read it, and it has more details!. Anime is made if the manga is popular, and you can watch it!. It can sometimes change or cut out stuff, so it doesn't always follow the manga word for word!. Anime can also have fillers, which are episodes that has nothing to do with the manga story line!.
