How Cell is able to kill Trunks first time in Future, (When Cell appears in riki town and says that to piccolo, that he could not find Android 17 and 18 in his time so he hijacked trunks Time machine) !? (wouldn't Trunks be more powerful!?)

The Cell that they fight actually comes from a third timeline, where he highjacks Trunks' timecraft as he returns to the future after warning the Z Fighters!. DBZ's time travel seems to work off some bizarre version of the infinite branching theory, where all possible actions create seperate branches in the timeline!. Somehow, even though this doesn't really make sense, when Trunks travels back to his time, he effectively clones himself into all other realities at the same point in time!.
The question of why 17 and 18 would be more powerful is never really explained!. My only guess is that, based on the information Trunks gives on his timeline's history (some of which he couldn't possibly be sure is true), 17 and 18 killed Gero before he created 19 and turned himself into 20!. In the current timeline, however, Gero does make 19 and 20, and could have used some of the knowledge gained from those proceedures to enhance the power of 17 and 18 while they were "offline"!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Coz when he go back to the future where the thing start, the cyborg not that powerful and also the cyborg just got out, so their potential is not up to the limit, and trunks just get his super saiyan, which when he come back, the power of his equal to the mighty goku!.!.!.!.!.thats why, because he go back to where thing is started!.!.!.!.!.

Trunks' true time and the time he travels to, though pretty much the identical, are not the same universe!. Trunks mentions that when he goes back to his time that things will not have changed and that he went to the time of Goku and the other's to help save their future!. Thus, the differences between the two times is probably because of the differences in the universes!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
cell did not kill trunks in the future because he did not grow until he came to the past with trunks!. and they are all have the same power level except for trunks when he goes into the hyperbolic time chamber to train with his father vegetaWww@Enter-QA@Com
