MP0 is the "one-shot / pilot-chapter" for Mx0 (both use "zero's" not capital "O's")!. And with the positive reviews for MP0, Mx0 became a full fledged manga!.

Mx0 was one of the better manga series in recent history, where the hero uses both brains, and a combination of willpower & endurance to survive in a magic-users school (the hero doesn't have magic skills)!. Mx0 definitely has a spot in my top 20 series (of the 400+ manga I've read)!.
Sadly though, the manga was given the chop by the Publisher Shueisha & forced to end at 99 chapters!. This was mainly due to lack of popularity in the Japanese market (as seen by the Publisher)!. But internationally, the English reading fans loved this series (scanlations were devoured by fans) & caused a small uproar on manga sites, when its cancellation announcement spread!.
There is a small ray of hope though, as many fans hope Mx0 pulls a "Rosario Vampire," where the mangaka just jumps to another magazine & continues the story!. But so far its' wishful think at best!.
But don't let that stop you from reading the series!. The 99 chapters that were released are worth their weight in Pocky, & it was a fun ride for a Shounen action series!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
