Batman Question for Major Comic Fans?!

Question: Batman Question for Major Comic Fans!?
Ok, so i like the batman movies, but other than that i don't know much about batman!. I would like to read the comics, but i was looking on the internet and there are like a million comics and they start back in the 60s!. What I basically want is to read his story!. Like from the begining with all the villans, batgirl, robin, nightwing, so on!. Should I read all comics starting from the very first!. Is there a book series I could read!? I saw a series that started with Batman: Year one!. Would this be good to read!. also, tell me how i could buy, if i need to read all the comics, the entire comic series, instead of buying like all 80 issues individually!. thanks!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Here's an order that should work for you!.

-Batman: Year One (actually printed in 1986, long after the books started!. No flashy villains, but the story and art are fantastic!. One of the best books, not just comics, I've ever read)

-Batman: Year Two (Alan Davis art, booyah!.)

-Batman: The Long Halloween (shows Batman fighting his assortment of supervillains, as opposed to thugs)

-Batman: Dark Victory (Robin I shows up)

-Batman: Year Three (if you can find it, it'll be issues!. Not the best story, but it covers Dick Grayson becoming Robin)

-Batgirl: Year One

-Batman: Son of the Demon (Ra's Al Ghul, interesting ending)

-Batman: Full Circle (Robin II story, calls back to Year Two)

-Batman: A Death in the Family (Ouch, sorry Jason)

-Batman: The Killing Joke

-Batman: Knightfall, Knightquest, Knightsend (really, the Knightfall trade entitled "Broken Bat" is the important one, but the other ones resolve the business set up in that one)

-Batman: Hush v!.1 and v!.2

-Batman: Under the Hood (not the best story, but important for stories to come)

-Batman and Son (recent story which harkens back to Son of the Demon)

-Batman: The Black Glove (amazing story, very recent)

-Batman: R!.I!.P!. - still available only in issue form, as the story has just started!. It's going to be big, though, and by the time you're done with the others, there may be a trade)

-Batman: The Dark Knight Returns (set in an alternate future, to be read at any point, it doesn't fit in anywhere, it's just good)

That should bring you up to speed as far as all the landmark stories go, and all of the important developments!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you want to read from the very first comic I would recommend Batman Chronicles vol!. 1
and if you just want to start reading at a good starting point I would recommend Batman: Year One by Frank Miller

First of all, Batman debuted as a character in 1939 in Detective Comics #27!. Places like Barnes and Noble have collections of comics in book form!. I would suggest starting there!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
