Fruits Basket...?!
Question: Fruits Basket!.!.!.!?
I am 11 yrs old almost 12, and I read Fruits Basket, I think its a really good book!. My sister who is 9 yrs old wants to read it, so my mom asked me to give her the first book to read!. My parents dont know that it has bad words in it, or that its for 13 Yr olds and up!. I dont know what to do!!! My parents trust me so much!!! I was thinking of telling her:
In 6th grade, everyone was reading it, so I wanted to see if I would like it!. I knew that it had bad words in it, but I didn't tell you because it was such a good book, and if I told you, you wouldn't let me read anymore of it!. Do you forgive me!?
I mean, what should I do!? I dont think that will work!. Plus, if I tell her, she'll probably tell my dad and they'll be ashamed of me!!! Everyone my age reads Fruits Basket though! Its not fair!.

Tell them that the rating isn't quite right because the content is primarily safe for younger children but your sister is too young!.
In other words, say the rating is wrong and that it really is appropriate for your age, but explain how there are things that your sister would be bothered by!.
Suggest a better manga for her to start with, such as Kilala Princess, Cat & Mouse (a detective manga for young kids), etc!.
The older you sound/the bigger words you use, the more likely your parents will be okay with it!. (:
And I agree, Fruits Basket is fine for an 11 or 12 year old, but 9 is too young!.

I think you should follow the rules!. The book says 13 and up so why don't you obey it!? Don't read it ever again (same for your sister)!. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but if you continue to keep reading something you're not suppose to, then someday your parents will know!.

Just tell them that it says the series is for 13 years old and up and be ready to explain why it might not be appropriate for your younger sister!. You might not have to mention the bad words, maybe talk about some of the content that might be more understood by kids a bit older than your sister!.

My sister reads the books and has watched the DVDs!. I think you should tell your parents or telling your little sister!. I guess it's not that bad, but still, cause once you lose trust, its hard to gain it back!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

*high five* I LOVE FRUITS BASKET!!!! its one of my fave animes!! anyways i think u should tell ur parents!. ok i know ur going to get in trouble but its the right thing to do!. my parents don't mind that read it!. i started watching and reading fruits basket since i was 12!. i'm 13 now!. hey how cool! i'm one year older then you! anyways i have a cousin who is 9 and half who watchs and reads Fruits Basket!. shes the one who got me into that show!. shes read/watch it since she was 7 years old!. its crazy but yeah!. but anyways i think you should tell ur parents and see what they said!. my parents didn't care and neither did my cousin's parents!. so umm yeah!. will good luck!!! and if ur sister does get to read it i hope she will enjoy it!! cuz i did!! lol^^Www@Enter-QA@Com
