Movie - Grave of the Fireflies!. This is simply one of the best movies I have ever seen!.!.!.not just anime, but movies!. Even Roger Ebert listed it in his 10 Best Movies list!. Be prepared to cry for nearly the entire movie!.!.!.but do see it!. It is worth the tears!.
Anime Series - Ashiteruze Baby!. Some day it will be licensed here and available for all to see!. It can make you laugh and cry!.!.!.sometimes at the same time!. Yuzuyu also benefits from being the cutest of all little kid anime characters (apologies to Chiyo-chan)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'd say Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal is the saddest~ it is the first Rurouni Kenshin OVA!. I definitely agree with Grave of the Fireflies being the saddest movie~Www@Enter-QA@Com
