Well same reason any character doesnt age, to keep them that same character!. Age really changes a person(or mutant)!.
There are many marvel comics that do deal with certain characters aging, or being younger!. For example spiderman has grown up from being a high school kid to a new avenger(over the course of 40 or so years) and ultimate series spidey is back in his teens!. Think about the simpsons or family guy or any cartoon, your favorite character wouldnt be the same if he wasnt a baby, or if he moved out of his parents house you know!. Of course comics and TV cartoons are much different, since writers do age and change characters quite often in marvel to spice up the story!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's just so that they can continue to use the same characters that have been giving DC and Marvel such a large fanbase in the past!.
It can be confusing, because Captain America fought in World War II, Wolverine joine him! Yet neither of these characters look like our grandfathers, now do they!? Usually they tend to either ignore or find "clever" ways to cover these facts up, revivals of comic also tend to make some heroes teenagers again, ignoring their history!.

Time would ravage the characters and stories so much you wouldn't be very entertained by it after a while!. But comics does a recycle period!. Readers get older and new readers get on board!. So theres a point where things have to return to its beginnings!. Only Frank Millers Dark Knight returns actually dealt with an aged Batman!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
