Question: Any anime that suits my taste!?
is there any good animes that i would like!?!?
im kinda picky about anime so heres my type: i like ones with the main character being a guy!.!.!.(eventhough im a girl i hate when a girl is the main character) i also like when the main character has a hard life at the time (or had a dark past) that he is trying to hide from people around him!. i dont like when the charaters use powers and i dont really like love storys!.!.!.!.!.if theres anything that i would like PLEAZ TELL ME!!! Rurouni Kenshin (the TV series)
The Rurouni Kenshin franchise is actually consisted of a 95-episode tv series, two OVAs Tsuioku Hen/Trust and Betrayal and Seisou Hen/Reflections and a movie, Isshin Shishi No Requiem!.
But since you don't like love stories, i'd suggest the series, though it's not completely free from suggestion of romance!.
RK is about the story of Kenshin Himura, a once idealistic teenager in the Tokugawa era who dreamed of making a world free of death and violence but eventually became an infamous assassin and manslayer!. He later deeply regretted living the life he lived and he chose to become a wanderer and protect the weak (physically) people he meets along the way in order to atone for his sins!.
In time, he eventually met a young woman who completely trusted him despite of his past, followed by several other people who would later become an important part of his life!.
Unfortunately, due to Kenshin’s notorious reputation as the legendary slasher “battousai,” he is always hounded by killers and former assassins from his past who either wanted revenge or wants to settle an old score, not to mention the guilt over the lives he claimed!.
This series mixes almost every genre you can ever imagine like action, comedy, romance, history,and tragedy while discussing about politics, society, philosophy, culture and religion!.
Saiyuki
Saiyuki is the story of four unlikely heroes (a smoking, drinking, gun-slinging, monk, a horny half-demon, half-human, a friendly and charming man-turned demon and a whiny little demon with an insatiable appetite) who got sent to the west (it's adapted from the classic novel Journey to the West by the way) in order to stop the revival of the demon king Gyumao!.
There isn't actually much in the plot but the characterization is very good and the characters are truly endearing!. Each of the four characters were described through their individual pasts and how they're trying to cope with it!.
Unfortunately though, this has elements of fantasy and the guys have some sort of powers, though not as extreme as other animes!.
However, if you're willing to set the superpower clause aside, you'll probably enjoy this series because of the characters!.
