Rurouni Kenshin Tsuioku Hen aka RK Trust and Betrayal and Rurouni Kenshin Seisou Hen aka RK Reflections
They tell the story of Kenshin Himura, an infamous/legendary assasin during the Tokugawa era!.
Its storyline is divided into three major segments: the series which is composed of 95 episodes, the first OVA, Tsuioku Hen or Trust and Betrayal and the second OVA Seisou Hen or Reflections!.
Of the three segments, the series was released first!. However, storywise, Trust and Betrayal comes first!.
Trust and Betrayal chronicles Kenshin's younger years from when he was taken in by the master who taught him the famed Hiten Mitsurugi technique up to how he became Battousai, the notorious manslayer, and how he eventually got his famous cross-shaped scar!. It also gives viewers a detailed account of Kenshin's previously untold and tragic history with his first wife, Tomoe!.
It is then later followed by the series which tells Kenshin's life after he chose to become a wanderer and atone for his sins!. It also introduces the new and main characters that will play huge parts in Kenshin's life!. More importantly, it follows the stories of people from Kenshin's past who came to haunt him in the present, either for revenge or to challenge him due to his notorious reputation as the feared and ruthless assassin of the Tokugawa era!.
On the other hand, the second OVA, Seisou Hen or Reflections, chronicles Kenshin and Kaoru's (the leading lady of the series who eventually became his second wife) married life together!. Just like what the title suggests, it focuses on Kaoru's reflections of their past, particularly Kenshin's, which even after many years, continues to haunt him, and how this situation affects not only his life, but the lives of those close to him as well!.
The really sad ones under this title are the OVAs!. I just included the series because its storyline comes between the first and second OVA and you have to be familiar with it in order to relate to Reflections!.
This title is still a shounen anime, and it is about a former assassin/slasher so you'll still have to expect some action scenes and bloodshed but the focus of the stories are actually the relationship the hero had with the two heroines!.
T&B of course focuses on love, trust and betrayal and Reflections focuses more on love, selflessness and devotion!.
Ayashi no Ceres
It was made by the same creator who made Fushigi Yuugi so it has the same feel to it and the characters look way too much alike ^_^!. The only big difference is probably Fushigi Yuugi leans more closely on the reverse harem type while Ayashi no Ceres is more of the love triangle type!. However, being a love triangle, (having less characters involved) it has more focus on the struggles of the three characters to "fight for their love" all throughout the series!.
It's one of the saddest animes yet endearing animes i've seen despite of my preference for animes with as much as realistic themes as possible!.
Here's the description of the plot:
The story revolves around a teenage girl named Aya and her twin brother Aki, members of the wealthy and powerful Mikage family!.
On their sixteenth birthday, they are called to gather in their family home to be given a special present!. Instead they find themselves the victims of an ancient family ritual!. Aya is proven to be the reincarnation of a celestial maiden (天女, tennyo!?), and upon reaching the age of sixteen her body is able to bring forth a powerful, celecital maiden called Ceres, the tennyo!. When she transforms into Ceres, Aya obtains supernatural powers and often forgets what she has done during the transformation, resulting in a double personality!. According to the legend, if left to live, the reincarnation of Ceres will bring ruin upon the Mikage family!. Aya quickly finds herself assigned a death penalty by her own family!. However, she is saved by Suzumi Aogiri, another tennyo descendant, from Kansai and Suzumi's brother-in-law, Yūhi!. They take Aya into their home after she is forced to run from the Mikage!.
Events escalate as Aya struggles to control Ceres and her brother gains the ability to manifest as "Shiso Mikagi", the ancestor of the Mikage family who stole Ceres' celestial robe (羽衣, hagoromo!?), without which she cannot return to heaven!. Aya must also wrestle with affection for Toya, a Mikage employee with no memory of his own past!. He is assigned to protect Aki and observe Aya by the leader of the C-project (celestial project)!. As he carries out his mission, he begins to develop feeling for Aya, and she for him!.
By the way, it also has a beautiful opening theme that perfectly fits the scenes that depicts waht the characters are going through!. Its title is Scarlet and here's a link:

Taking place toward the end of World War II in Japan, Grave of the Fireflies is the poignant tale of the relationship between two orphaned children, Seita (清太) and his younger sister Setsuko (節子)!. The children lose their mother in the firebombing of Kobe, and their father in service to the Imperial Japanese Navy, and as a result they are forced to try to survive amidst widespread famine and the callous indifference of their countrymen (some of whom are their own extended family members)!.
