That is strange! I haven't had anyone assume that yet!.
I saw an anime (can't remember which) and had a beginning short which showed people of all different nationalities and walks of life (business men, kids, ect) with little arrows pointing that said "anime fan"!. I guess the point they were trying to make is that all different sorts of people love anime!. It made me feel better since I'm not Asian or a kid!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

It's kind of awkward to talk about anime or manga with someone who doesn't like them, but once you find someone who does, friendship quickly develops(in my personal experience)!.
I think this is pretty neat: my brother used to look at me weird and ask me why I read manga and watched anime, etc, but now he's just as hooked as I am!

probably because anime and manga mostly came from asia (mainly japan) and its really popular over there so people assume that if you like it your japanese!.

It's probably because they think that Anime is usually watched by Asians or Japanese!.!.
Anime is basically a japanese-based animation!.!.
And it's very popular among Japanese & to other Asians!.!.
