Hellsing vampire question?!
Question: Hellsing vampire question!?
I would like to know how the mortals in the Hellsing manga/anime get turned into vampires (as in true vampires, not Millenium/FREAK)!.
I have not read very many vampire folklore, novels, and the like, but from what I know so far, according to Anne Rice's novels, in order for one to become a vampire, one must be bitten by a vampire and after being bitten, quickly drink the vampire's blood in order to complete the transaction!. Is this the same for Hellsing!? Or did Alucard just bit Seras without telling Seras to also drink back!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

IYes, it's the whole blood sharing gig!. The soon-to-be vampire must be on the edge of death, then they swap blood!. However, in Hellsing, to become a "true" vampire, they must taste someone else's blood willingly!. That is why Seras is not a true vampire in the anime (she is more or less under Alucard and doesn't have any of the special no-life king/queen powers), and it takes her forever in the manga!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
