That's just a stereotype!. A lot of people call anime lovers nerds because they don't see themselves getting into some thing like that!. I agree with you , i don't really care what people think if i like it, i like it And a lot of so called cool people watch anime but keep it a secret to others because they don't want to mess up their "Image!." The difference between watching Smallville then Bleach is that Smallville has real people acting out the scene, where as people see "Drawings acting out the scenes " and is considered cartoons and kinda childish!. Understanding anime requires an understanding of its native culture (Japan), which, if it's different than the one you're living in, requires at least some research (whether it be in the form of internet searches, reading books, or conversations with other fans!.) Watching something like "Smallville," which is based on America's culture of now, doesn't require any further research on the viewer's part to fully comprehend it!. Therefore, I'd say that while not everyone would consider you to be a "nerd" or "geek" per se, you are a part of a niche subculture that some may define as "nerdy!."Www@Enter-QA@Com
Nothing, they might think people that watch anime are nerds because they can't understand it themselves!. I'm serious; if you've noticed, there's some complex stuff on anime and stuff like smallville is just drool!. In that case, I am definitely not considered a nerd; I just grasp concepts easily!.

In my town, if you watch Smallville, you're obviously only concerned about real-life!.
If you watch anime, it depends on the person!. I know a few guys that watch Naruto and they're the most popular people in school!. Then there's the anti-social group that is always dressing up as anime characters!. They're the nerds, unfortunately :/Www@Enter-QA@Com
