The Simpsons, hands down!. They're goofy, likeable, funny, and unlike the Griffins, they're actually believable, human characters!. The classic episodes are hilarious, and the Simpsons (especially Homer and Bart) are world famous cultrual icons that people can actually identify themselves with!.
Stewie is a blatant ripoff of Jimmy Corrigan (comic drawn by cartoonist Chris Ware in the early 90's well before Family Guy came out), and the rest of the family just feels!.!.!. one dimensional!. To make it even worse, the few funny jokes they have come up with (Herbert the Pedophile, the Chicken) were milked to death and played out after being used in what seems like every other episode!.
This is probably going to get me flamed, but had Family Guy come out during the golden years of the Simpsons before they jumped the shark (Seasons 3-8), it wouldn't have lasted all of ten minutes!.

the simpsons!.!.!.i like both shows, family guy less than the simpsons because the simpsons has a plot!. characters you actually care about and some continuity!. everyone can enjoy the simpsons because it caters to everyone while family guy just serves up old crude 'edgy' jokes!. maggie is the original evil baby - and still so sweet!.!.!.while stewie, yeah i'm getting sick of him being so repetitive!. also, the halloween specials kick booty!Www@Enter-QA@Com
