If I had to choose, I'd go with DBZ because I am a huge Piccolo fan!. However, I believe these are basically all drawn from the same basic concept, which in essence would mean any character could, with training, use any ability!. These are all based on the ancient concepts of chi or ki!. So, someone who can use DBZ powers should be able to use Naruto powers, Street Fighter powers (hadoken, sonic boom, etc), Yu-Yu Hakusho powers, & any other powers which would be ki-based!.
Oh, & for those who don't know, ki-based powers are spirit-based powers!. Yu-Yu Hakusho sites delve deeply into this by explaining living beings use ki, ghosts use reiki (spiritual life force), & demons use yoki (demonic life force)!.
Note: Wow, it's amazing how many people don't remember DBZ characters using their ki to perform other feats besides blowing up stuff!. Some characters, like Dende, use the power for healing others!. Some, like Piccolo, can use it to create objects (clothing, weapons, etc)!. Still others use it to enhance their senses of the world around them!. Goku was often able to draw it from others who were willing to grant it to him to boost his own abilities beyond his potential!.
also, ki (Japanese derived from the Chinese concept of qi) may be referred to "life energy", whereas chakras, in their proper context, refer to "centers of life energy"!. In essence, it could be said that chakras are nexus points for ki, if you wanted to oversimplify things & possibly offend half the Eastern world!. Chakras are closely related to qigong, the Chinese arts which could best be described in DBZ terms as how characters store, unleash, & utilize ki!. Building one's power level could be considered akin to filling one's chakras with biophysical energy!. So, in a way, these concepts are all related, & are just different ways of referring to the same thing!. I think once you read up on these concepts, you would see no anime can truly do them justice because they are just too heavy for the average viewer!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Technically chakra is the older of the two energies!. In DBZ, you hardly see the Ki energy used in many diverse techniques!. It gets boring, watching two people blast each other with different colors of light!.

I would go for the Chakra!. Unlike the DBZ power it's not only for destruction and battles, you can do all sorts of things with it!. Even when fighting, with chakra, you can do all sorts of things (Stopping your enemy's movements, disappearing somewhere, walking on the water, summoning animals!.!.!.), while in DBZ all you do is basically destroy stuff all around!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
