Answers:
Voice acting is the same as acting!.!.!. any age!. It's extremely hard to get into!.!.!.!. I envy soo many kids whose parents are in the business, therefore they get landed the jobs!. Its so not fair! Girls like us have to work at it!.!.!.But think of this!.!.!. almost all cartoon boys are played by women of all ages (Bart Simpson, the Rugrats, Timmy Turner, Naruto, most anime, Bobby Hill, etc)!. let me tell you what steps I've done, and what Nancy Cartright (voice of Bart Simpson, etc) has told me!. also, I've worked in radio, so I know for a fact what works and what doesn't!.

1) PRACTICE!. PRACTICE!. PRACTICE!. Do whatever voices you feel comfortable with!. Take singing lessons!.

2) You seem young!. Get involved in drama and choir (if you can sing)!. Voice actors are just that, actors!. They have the advantage of not having an audience or a camera in front of them!. Therefore they are very animated and literally act out whatever it takes to project their emotions into a character!. So in the mean time take advantage of acting in plays, skits, etc to get comfortable with acting!. It'd also be a GREAT benefit to really start learning other languages (bilinguals land more jobs, did you know the voice of Spongebob is also the voice of Eduardo in Fosters home!?)!.

3)There's a 1% chance of someone making it in the business on their own!. Meaning you'd have to land an agent!. Take advantage of your age and start building up a portfolio or experience!. Don't bother wasting money on a head shot!. You have straight teeth and perfect hair!. That's nice!. They don't care!. All they want is your voice!.
** Thats great if you can mimic mickey mouse or ash ketchum!. But what makes YOU stand out, why is your voice unique!?**
You don't have to read a script!. Record a demo by reading ads in magazines or a story on the Tabasco sauce label!.
4) Accept that it is really hard to get into!. But not impossible!. This takes time!. Once you send in a demo, it could take a week, it could take 6 months!. There are many agencies!. Perhaps one likes your style more than another!. Perhaps you weren't meant for a role but will fit perfectly for another one coming up!. A little fact that goes for just about everything, work really hard at something and you will get it!.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT call and ask if they received your demo or portfolio!. They got it!. As well as 100's of others!. If interested, they WILL call!. They consider calling and checking in annoying!. This to me is the hardest part!. But hang in there sunshine!!
You must also accept that 85% of voice actors have other everyday jobs!. Unless they're one of the big timers (Billy West, Tress Mcnielle, Tara Strong, Kath Soucie, Tom Kenny, Seth Mcfarlane!.!.!.!.lucky ducks!)!. So for now just live your life and work hard!.

One more little hint, I was fortunate enough to land a job in radio promotions!. I know you've seen them before, they drive radio station vans and hand out free crap!. AKA the street teams!. They do all the grunt work!. But its a foot in the door!. Work hard, they notice!. In time you might be able to transition over to the programming side of radio!.!.!. where the dj's are!. A lot of the "newbies" do late nights running the boards!. Again, work hard, take advice from the fellow dj's (The ones who aren't too arrogant!.!.!. good luck!. lol)!. In time, you WILL get there!.

These are all steps I've done!. So far I've done some radio commercials and acted in kids shows that have made it on local tv!. also I've spoken to many voice actors and this is the gist of the advice I was given!.
Feel free to message me for more advice if you'd like!. I wish you the best!Www@Enter-QA@Com
