Inuyasha is shonen, though, as a mixed genre, it is action/romance/comedy/fantasy (folklore-based)/historical fiction/etc!. Even though its action, it keeps the romance parts as a base, too!. Shonen- An anime/manga mainly targeted for boys!.
Even though I'm a girl, I'm, like, a TOTAL Inuyasha Otaku!.
Though, many girls are getting into the shonen effect!. Inuyasha was made by a girl, so!.!.!.!.!.
Anyway, Inuyasha was also in many shonen magazines, too!.
