Answers:
Vigilantism is generally contingent on violence, so most people are caught before they can "strike" again!. also, the general public isn't really in a position to have privileged information such as access to a criminal's records and whereabouts!.
If they DO attack someone, it's generally for personal reasons (abuse of friends/family, avenging someone), and the cops round them up pretty quickly as the motive is clear!. Should the Vigilante have the wherewithal to find and actually kill an unrelated suspect, it's generally treated by police as a murder!. Frontier justice is excused in court only under very, very extreme cases, so before you decide to give your neighborhood scum hell, check yourself!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
