If I was L, then I would find a way to stop Kira a lot faster - most likely by saying that he removed the security cameras from Light's room (even though it's illegal) but it would have shown that Light was Kira!.

If I were L, I'd do everything exactly as he did it- I'd only take the cases that interest me, I'd travel around the world, I'd be the be the best, etc!. BUT I'd also go outside more and I'd find a way to take the Kira out of Light and take him around as my traveling buddy so I'd be sure not to get bored!.
Plus, I'd gorge on sweets!. In my non-L form, I have to worry about obesity and diabetes and the like, but if I had his metabolism I'D GO FOR IT!. ;D
