Question: Anime fans, about Hellsing!.!.
i'm currently watching hellsing, but i've downloaded hellsing ultimate ova too, but what i don't get is, is plot for those both the same!?
is hellsing ultimate just refreshed and polished version of hellsing!?
should i just drop hellsing and watch hellsing ultimate or watch both afterall or how!?

The original Hellsing series actually deviated a lot from its manga counterpart!. However, Hellsing Ultimate is the most closest faithful adaptation of the manga I've seen!. I recommend that you watch the OVA (1-4) rather than the series because it's right on the point and it doesn't miss any significant plotlines!. Actually, the series skipped a lot of characters and events!.
The differences between them:
1!.) Pip Vernadead (sp) wasn't even mentioned in the Series!. However, he was a significant person in the Ultimate!. His feelings for Seras was also explored in the Ultimate too!.
2!.)The (disgusting) "android" in the Series wasn't even a character in the OVA!.
3!.)In Episode 4 and part of Episode 5, the "video" that was published didn't really happened in the OVA!. It wasn't even in the manga either!.
4!.)There wasn't a raid in Episode 8 of a Chinese factory!.
5!.)Episodes 9-13 is just a filler, I should say!.
