I tried watching the movie!. I couldn't get over how terrible the actors were at pretending to die, so I stopped about 6 minutes in!. The anime is so amazing, every aspect of the idea is captured perfectly!. The idea of the anime looks great on paper, but when its animated it really came alive and I love it!. It's very difficult to make an anime thats not just a bunch of people powering up and shooting lasers at each other, yet Death Note still succeeded incredibly!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Sure, but they try their best to make the live action movies look great!. The try to make the movies relate to the anime!. The three movies are different, and time consuming, so they had to changed it around!.
I prefer the manga though!. Read it first, and I don't want to go through the whole anime just to see how the voicing is!. I like the 2nd opening song!. WHATS UP PEOPLE!?!
also, the anime is really great!. yeah, I already said that I liked the manga better, but the anime is great!. Voicing is nice, color makes it look cool, the characters seem more alive!. And, I liked the last episode!. Sad, but great to watch!. You also see Misa in her final last moments before she commits suicide!. Better than the ending in the manga!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well!.!.!.I read the manga first and then watched the anime and they were AMAZING! Death Note has to be the best anime/manga ever! (with the exception of Vampire Knight and Hana Kimi) ?
THEN I saw the movie and I was like WTF!?!?!?! Tsugumi Ohba's story was flawless and so unique and I thought the movie totally destroyed his brilliant idea! I was upset with it and found it quite atrocious!
Sure the acting from L was great but the way the story went was awful! Besides Mamoru Miyano is just amazing as the voice for Light! XD That is just my opinion!

Yeah!. The characters in the movie is kind of!.!.!.!.!. how to say!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.not fake but they don't know how to fake!.!.!. first thing is that Light(or Raito) lost all his cool(and he just look like a gambler), or L(or Ryuzaki) isn't as kawaii as the one in the anime!. The story is sleepy too!. In the movie, there's a part that they make L say a lot of things that makes him just like a idiot!. And it isn't interesting at all!. How to say!.!.!. there's still a lot of japanese movie that's made from anime that it's still not a masterpiece(I mean the movie) but rather!.!.!.!.sleepyWww@Enter-QA@Com
Yeah the movies were pretty lame!. Not only was it pretty bad acting but Death Note really doesn't work as a live action film!. maybe if the movies were also anime they would have been better but the movies follow the anime plot line so closely that wouldn't work!.
