Question: POLL : Old Anime Or New Anime
A lot of people don't watch older anime like Akira!.It annoys me because frankly the newer anime have sucky plots most of the time!. What do you like better!? The Old or the New!? Btw I can't stand it when people are so freakin Obsessed with Naruto and Bleach!. It annoys the crap out of me!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yeah!.!.!. let's compare an R rated, award winning movie to 300 episode long shows made for little boys!. Seems like a fair comparison to me!.
Seriously if you are going to compare old to new, you've got to compare apples with apples- not oranges!.
Compare Naruto and Bleach to DBZ!. There really isn't much difference between them!. All are formulaic, fighten, shounen anime!.
Now compare the award winning movie Akira to the current movie award winners!. Anime like The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, or Paprika are two recent examples!. Then you start to see fair comparisons!.
Oh and you really have to make sure you aren't looking at this through so called Nostalgia Glasses!. Think how much you have changed since you saw Akira 5, 10, or even when it first came out 20 years ago!. You are a completely different person now!. Anime may not excite you anymore simply because you grew out of it!. You remember loving anime then, but don't anymore!. That's not necessarily because anime has changed- maybe just you have!.
Oh and please don't judge current anime by what airs on Cartoon Network!. That's really just the tip of the iceberg!.
In my personal opinion both time periods have their ups and downs!. I love Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Golden Boy, and Slayers from then!. I love Gurren Lagann, Baccano!, and Kino's Journey right now!. Miyazaki's Naussica in the 80s is just as good as Howl's Moving Castle from a few years past!. We may not have Leiji Matsumoto any more, but we have new faces like Satoshi Kon and Makoto Shinkai to take up the slack!.
I just love anime!. But since I get to watch so much more anime from current times, because of the proliferation of fansubs, I have more current favorites then favorites from the past!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I like the newer anime that DOES NOT drag on and on like Bleach and Naruto!. Series that are kind of new that I actually like better than the old ones include: Death Note, Full Metal Alchemist, and Madlax (these are now as new as naruto or bleach)Series that are not as old as Akira but are still good include: Rurouni Kenshin, Gundam Wing, and the newer version of Cyborg 009!.I think people could like whatever they like, but I do agree that alot of series out now with few exceptions (such as Death note) have really lame storylines!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
hey, some new anime are actually good!.
Try Zero no Tsukaima (3 seasons), and Air Gear, and Code Geass!. They have good plots, cool background songs, good opening songs, and many more that can beat the old anime's limited feature!.
Don't get me wrong, i like old anime and i've watched most of them but the new anime are having great ideas now!.
Old anime i liked are:
Yu Yu Hakusho (aka Ghost Fighter) -- English sub are better than the dubbed!.
Flame of Recca is also good!.
I stopped watching Naruto and Bleach because of the current spoiler which made my eyes hurt and gave me a headache!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I watch whatever looks interesting to me!.
I've seen popular animes, like Fruits Basket and Naruto, and I've seen less popular animes, like Chobits!.

It depends on what you consider old!. All the stuff I watch is at least 10 years old (except one, but that doesn't count)!. So older stuff for me, I guess!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
