No, not at all!. The original Robin was Dick Grayson, followed by Jason Todd, and then Tim Drake!. In 1986, there was a 4 issue series called The Dark Knight Returns which is set decades in the future when Batman is an old man, and there is a female robin named Carrie Kelly!. A few years ago, Tim Drake briefly quit, and a girl named Stephanie Brown took over as Robin for a few issues before she was killed and Tim Drake came back (Stephanie later turned up alive, though)!.
